Synopsis
Continues the story of Pokémon: Advanced
Following his journey in the Johto League, Satoshi begins a new adventure through the Houen region, traveling alone with only Pikachu. His solitude does not last long when he encounters ten-year-old Haruka, a reluctant Pokémon trainer who dislikes Pokémon but dreams of traveling the world, after Pikachu accidentally destroys her bicycle. Satoshi also reunites with his old friend Takeshi and meets Haruka's younger brother, Masato. As they travel through Houen, the group battles Gym Leaders, takes part in contests, and faces many challenges on their way to the Houen League.
In this installment
After finishing his journey through Hoenn, Satoshi arrives in Sinnoh with the goal of becoming a Pokémon Master. Right after he gets there, Team Rocket tries to steal Pikachu again, but Pikachu ends up lost in a dense forest, sending Satoshi on a search for his friend. While looking, Satoshi runs into Takeshi, a Pokémon breeder who has traveled with him through previous regions, and comes across Shinji, a tough rival who cares more about strength than his Pokémon's well-being. As Satoshi keeps searching for Pikachu, he spots a strong electric attack far off and hurries to check it out, finding Pikachu trapped between Team Rocket and Hikari, an aspiring Pokémon Coordinator aiming to be the best. After stopping Team Rocket's plan, Satoshi gets Pikachu back, and Hikari joins the group. With their new partner, Satoshi and his friends set off on an exciting adventure through the vibrant Sinnoh region.
Background
In the US, the second season of Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl is called Pokemon: Battle Dimension (Pokemon Season 11).
