Summary
Solana, also known as Hinata, has appeared in the anime series, making her debut in the episode titled "The Green Guardian." During this initial appearance, she accompanied Ash and his companions while they attempted to assist an injured Celebi. She reappeared in the two-part special "Pokémon Ranger - Deoxys Crisis!", where she reunited with Ash’s group and became involved in an incident concerning Deoxys. Additionally, she was featured in the opening sequence "Spurt!" beginning with the episode "All That Glitters is Not Golden" and made a brief cameo in the opening for the movie Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea. In her early anime appearances, Solana held the rank of a Rank 3 Ranger. However, in the story arc "Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! Parts One and Two," she appeared wearing a new uniform and was not accompanied by her partner Plusle. In the Pokémon Ranger manga series, which was serialized on the Pokémon Japanese website to coincide with the game's release in April 2006, Solana became a Ranger prior to Lunick. She previously taught Lunick many aspects of becoming a Pokémon Ranger. At the time of the manga's events, both she and Lunick had attained the status of Rank 10 Rangers. Solana is known for her diligent preparation, striving to perform at her best before undertaking any task. Even during her free time, she makes an effort to read as many documents and information sources as possible regarding any upcoming missions assigned to them. Following the failure of the Ranger Leaders from Ring Town, Fall Town, and Wintown on a mission involving Deoxys, Professor Hastings dispatched Solana and Lunick to complete the objectives the leaders had left unfinished.
