Synopsis
Continues the story of Pokémon
Pokémon are extraordinary creatures possessing diverse abilities and appearances, with many individuals known as Pokémon trainers striving to capture and train them, often for competitive battles. A young boy named Satoshi has long dreamed of becoming a Pokémon trainer and achieving the title of "Pokémon Master." On his tenth birthday, Satoshi finally gets the chance to pursue this goal. However, all three starter Pokémon have already been taken, leaving him with Pikachu, an Electric-type Pokémon known for being stubborn and uncooperative. This unexpected encounter sets the stage for an unforgettable adventure and the formation of a deep bond between Satoshi and Pikachu. Setting out on a journey to become the best, Satoshi and Pikachu travel through vast and scenic regions alongside their companions Kasumi, a Water-type Pokémon specialist, and Takeshi, who excels with Rock-type Pokémon. However, they constantly face threats from the notorious Team Rocket, a group that uses elaborate schemes to steal powerful Pokémon. Satoshi and his friends must stop these plans while also collecting the eight Gym Badges necessary to compete in the Pokémon League and ultimately earn the esteemed title of Pokémon Master.
In this installment
Following his journey in the Johto League, Satoshi begins a new adventure through the Houen region, traveling alone with only Pikachu. His solitude does not last long when he encounters ten-year-old Haruka, a reluctant Pokémon trainer who dislikes Pokémon but dreams of traveling the world, after Pikachu accidentally destroys her bicycle. Satoshi also reunites with his old friend Takeshi and meets Haruka's younger brother, Masato. As they travel through Houen, the group battles Gym Leaders, takes part in contests, and faces many challenges on their way to the Houen League.
Background
Episode 101 "Yureru Shima no Tatakai! Dojotchi Tai Namazun!!" was originally postponed due to the 2004 Chuuetsu earthquake. The episode never aired in Japan or internationally, and is not included in the episode count.
