Summary

Phanpy is a diminutive proboscid Pokémon with horizon-blue skin and large, floppy ears that function as fans for cooling. Red pads adorn the inner parts of each ear and the bridge of its short trunk. The creature possesses a single nail on each of its four feet and ends in a short tail. Despite its small stature, Phanpy’s trunk is both sensitive and powerful, capable of sending a person flying with a playful bump or shattering arm bones upon impact. It is also strong enough to carry an adult human on its back. Inhabiting rocky terrain, Phanpy constructs nests by digging vertical pits near river edges, marking the territory with its trunk. During the quiet morning hours, it uses its trunk to shower in the river, often joining groups to soak one another thoroughly before drying off near the water’s edge, as it refuses to settle until it is completely clean. Eventually, Phanpy evolves into Donphan.
