Summary
Hiisu, known as Tucker in the English localization, made his sole anime appearance in the episode titled "Tactics Theatrics!!." In this series, he is portrayed as a beloved superstar with a large fanbase who enjoys entertaining the public. Before matches, he has the unique ability to allow challengers to select Pokémon from other locations, though Ash Ketchum chose to stick with his current partners, Corphish and Swellow, despite this option. During a double battle at the Battle Dome in front of a massive crowd, Tucker employed an Arcanine and a Swampert against Ash. Although he maintained a strong initial advantage through effective teamwork and strategy, he was ultimately defeated by Ash. In the manga adaptation, specifically at the start of the Battle Frontier saga, Tucker is ambushed by Emerald while traveling to the Battle Frontier Opening Ceremony on his Salamence. He is bound and thrown backstage, where he is discovered by the other Battle Fringe Leaders. After being released, he confronts Emerald on stage, only for Scott to silence him, which sparks a fiery grudge against the challenger. Tucker watches Emerald defeat Noland and subsequently invites the boy to his facility. However, the Battle Dome serves as Emerald's fifth challenge. Unlike the video games where he only appears after a trainer wins a set number of tournaments, the manga depicts Tucker actively participating in the tournaments themselves.
