Summary

Sudowoodo is a Pokémon characterized by a brown, log-shaped body adorned with yellow spots. It possesses short legs ending in toeless feet and thin forearms tipped with three green spheres. A forked branch sits atop its head, appearing shorter on females than on males. Despite its plant-like appearance, its composition is closer to rock, and it was originally misclassified as a Grass-type. To avoid attacks, Sudowoodo disguises itself as a tree and stands along paths. This camouflage is imperfect during winter because its forelegs remain green, unlike real trees. Highly sensitive to water, Sudowoodo hates rain and will break its disguise to flee for shelter whenever it starts to rain. Having held its position for so long, its arms have become both supple and strong. The creature is popular with the elderly, who follow magazines and fans dedicated to its arm angles and lengths. It inhabits forests, occasionally sharing its habitat with Trevenant. According to Pokémon Sleep, Sudowoodo maintains its tree mimicry even while sleeping, though it may occasionally drop the pose to rest on the ground. Sudowoodo evolves from Rockruff.
