Summary

Known as Brock in the English Pokémon series, Takeshi formerly served as the gym leader of Nibi (Pewter) City. He eventually resigns from his post to accompany Satoshi (Ash) and Kasumi (Misty) on their journey to catch Pokémon, with the ambition of becoming a top-class breeder. His tendency to pursue pretty girls often results in him being dragged away by Kasumi or Max, or even stabbed by his Croagunk. By the conclusion of the Diamond and Pearl arc, he chooses to part ways with Dawn and Ash in order to pursue a career as a Pokémon Doctor.
