Hitokage

Summary

Charmander is a bipedal, reptilian Pokémon featuring a primarily orange body and blue eyes. Its underside, extending from the chest downward, along with the soles of its feet, is cream-colored. The creature possesses two small fangs in its upper jaw and two smaller ones in its lower jaw. A distinctive fire burns at the tip of its slender tail, a flame that has been present since Charmander’s birth. This tail flame serves as an indicator of the Pokémon's health and mood. It burns brightly when Charmander is strong, weakly when exhausted, wavering when happy, and blazing when enraged. Legend holds that Charmander would die if its flame were to extinguish. However, a healthy Charmander can keep its flame lit even when wet, with reports suggesting it steams in the rain. As depicted in Pokémon Sleep, Charmander tends to sleep while curled up, drawing warmth from its tail flame. On quiet nights, the sound of this flame can be heard by those listening closely. The species exhibits four distinct sleep styles: Crackling Sleep, Tummy-Rub Sleep, Tummy-Up Sleep, and Atop-Belly Sleep. In the wild, Charmander inhabits hot, mountainous regions, though it has recently been observed in the Terarium of Blueberry Academy. More commonly, it is found in the possession of Trainers. According to Pokémon Snap and New Pokémon Snap, Charmander displays pack behavior. They call out to others of their species upon finding food and monitor the flames on each other's tails to ensure none go out. Charmander evolves into Charmeleon, which subsequently evolves into Charizard.
