Hyouta
Summary
In the original Japanese versions, Roark is known as Hyouta. As Byron’s son, he serves as the supervisor of the Oreburgh Mine and specializes in Rock-type Pokémon. His team consists of a Lv. 12 Geodude, a Lv. 12 Onix, and a Lv. 14 Cranidos. While the game retains his Cranidos in this form, the anime depicts it evolving into a Rampardos. After his defeat, he awards the Coal Badge to the victor. Players must locate him within the Oreburgh Mine before engaging in battle. Additionally, Roark is the one who greets the player upon their first entry into the Underground area.
