Synopsis
Continues the story of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl
After finishing his journey through Hoenn, Satoshi arrives in Sinnoh with the goal of becoming a Pokémon Master. Right after he gets there, Team Rocket tries to steal Pikachu again, but Pikachu ends up lost in a dense forest, sending Satoshi on a search for his friend. While looking, Satoshi runs into Takeshi, a Pokémon breeder who has traveled with him through previous regions, and comes across Shinji, a tough rival who cares more about strength than his Pokémon's well-being. As Satoshi keeps searching for Pikachu, he spots a strong electric attack far off and hurries to check it out, finding Pikachu trapped between Team Rocket and Hikari, an aspiring Pokémon Coordinator aiming to be the best. After stopping Team Rocket's plan, Satoshi gets Pikachu back, and Hikari joins the group. With their new partner, Satoshi and his friends set off on an exciting adventure through the vibrant Sinnoh region.

Like the Advanced Generation and Diamond & Pearl series before it, the Best Wishes! series starts with Ash Ketchum heading to the Unova region, a far-off land distinct from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, accompanied only by his Pikachu. After meeting the new trainer and rival Trip along with the region's Professor Juniper, Ash gains two traveling companions: Iris, a girl from a town known for its Dragon Pokémon, and Cilan, a Pokémon Connoisseur and the Grass Pokémon specialist among the three Straition City Gym Leaders.
