Summary

Reshiram is a white, bipedal Pokémon that combines draconic, avian, and mammalian characteristics. Its head features a long, voluminous, wispy mane that flows from the upper snout and head, topped with two ear-like protrusions. The face is framed by spiky details and a small pointed chin extension, with blue irises and black pupils. When open, the mouth reveals two pairs of pointed teeth. It possesses a slender neck adorned with a fluffy, collar-like protrusion emerging from two gray, glass-like neckbands. Its arms start slender but flare into wing-like shapes with four clawed, hand-like structures on the leading edge. Plates at the back of these "hands" match the color of its neck rings. A feathered or furry chest feature protrudes to a point, while long, feather-like extensions jut from its thighs. Its feet bear large gray claws, three at the front and one at the back, resembling high heels. The tail consists of plume and ribbon-like extensions encircled by two large bands similar to those on its neck. When emotions surge, Reshiram enters Overdrive mode, causing its tail to glow with fire. According to Unovan legends, Reshiram and Zekrom originated from a single dragon Pokémon commanded by the twin heroes of Truth and Ideals, splitting into two when the leader was defeated. Reshiram supports those who wish to build a world valuing truth, aligning with the older brother, while Zekrom sided with the younger brother who sought ideals. The two dragon Pokémon fought to a standstill, leading the brothers to cease their conflict and acknowledge neither was entirely right. However, their sons inherited these ideologies and resumed the clash, devastating the Unova region with the combined fire and lightning powers of Reshiram and Zekrom before the Pokémon disappeared. If destroyed or attacked by N’s tendril-like appendages, Reshiram transforms into the Light Stone. It can willingly revert to its normal form when awakened by a hero who believes in the truth. Reshiram’s flaming tail sends heat into the atmosphere, altering global weather and possessing enough power to scorch the world. When Reshiram and Zekrom use their enormous flame and thunderbolt attacks simultaneously, they activate each other’s tail generators, powering up both moves. While flying, Reshiram spews flames from its tail, soaring like an airplane. Myth states that Reshiram burns down kingdoms of those who ignore the truth and succumb to greed. In Pokémon the Movie: Black - Victini and Reshiram and White - Victini and Zekrom, Reshiram demonstrates the ability to speak via telepathy. It has a fondness for Reshiram Treats made by Snacksworth, who once encountered it in the past.
