Drayden serves as the Dragon-type Gym Leader in Opelucid City and is recognized as a Dragon Master. He first made his appearance in Iris's flashback during the episode BW036, where he was observed watching a battle between Iris and her Excadrill while visiting the Dragon Village. After congratulating Iris on her victory, she promptly challenged him to a match, which he accepted with grace. Despite her efforts, Drayden’s immense power proved overwhelming, resulting in a loss for Iris and Excadrill. He also appears to have an existing relationship with the village elder.
