Summary

Shirona, whose name translates to "Chosen by the gods," serves as the League master and Champion of the Sinnoh region in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl as well as Pokémon Platinum. With the exception of the player choosing a female avatar, she stands as the first recognized female Pokémon League champion in the video game franchise. She hails from Celestic Town and is notably depicted as having trained Professor Rowan during his youth. Visually, Shirona is characterized by blond hair adorned with two hair clips that mimic Lucario’s Aura Sensors, distinguished by a yellow stripe rather than being entirely black. She typically wears black clothing. In the Anime, Games, and Manga, Shirona is a formidable opponent whose team varies slightly between titles. In Diamond and Pearl, she commands a Lucario at level 63, a Garchomp at level 66, a Milotic at level 63, a Gastrodon at level 60, a Spiritomb at level 61, and a Roserade at level 60. In Platinum, her roster includes a level 60 Lucario, a level 62 Garchomp, a level 58 Milotic, a level 60 Togekiss, a level 58 Spiritomb, and a level 58 Roserade. During the final battle, she addresses the challenger with the words: "One look at you tells me many things about you. Together, you and your Pokémon overcame all the challenges you faced, however difficult. It means that you've triumphed over any personal weaknesses, too. The power you learned... I can feel it emanating from you. That's enough talking. Let's get on with why you're here. I, Cynthia, accept your challenge as the Pokémon League Champion! There won't be any letup from me!"
