Synopsis
High school student Kenichi Shirahama is often on the receiving end of rough treatment in the karate club, while also spending his free time reading self-help books. One day on his way to class, he runs into the new transfer student Miu Furinji, who accidentally knocks him to the ground due to her reflexes. Apologizing and introducing herself, Miu invites Kenichi to be her friend. After karate club practice, another club member challenges Kenichi to a fight where the loser must leave the club for good. Feeling defeated, Kenichi sees Miu effortlessly take down three bullies. Seeking her advice on how to improve his fighting ability, Kenichi is directed to her grandfather’s dojo, Ryouzanpaku, which houses various eccentric masters of extreme martial arts. Miu assures Kenichi he will grow much stronger but warns him he must survive the process. Facing threats from a criminal martial arts group called Ragnarok and the looming challenge, Kenichi sets out on a journey to become a formidable fighter and protector of the weak.
