Kugatachi, Kaname
Summary
Kugatachi Kaname, better known as Freya, first appeared in Battle 70. At nineteen years old, she stands 170cm tall and weighs 56kg. She is a Sei and a practitioner of Katsujin Ken and Kugatachi Style Joujutsu. Freya previously served as the Third Fist of Ragnarok and joined the organization to learn techniques from Ogata, although she never actually met him. She leads a personal attack team known as The Valkyries and holds the belief that women must use weapons to achieve strength equal to men. Physically, Freya is a fairly tall, dark-skinned woman with blue eyes and short, messy brown hair. She has a curvaceous, well-endowed, and well-toned frame, marked by a thin scar across her left cheek. Her typical attire consists of a blue spandex bodysuit and an orange leather jacket. Personality-wise, Freya is calm and stoic, rarely displaying emotion. However, unlike Loki, she genuinely cares for her subordinates. While she strongly believes in the rules of Ragnarok, she is not entirely heartless and adheres to the principles of Katsujin Ken, likely instilled by her master. She is honorable in combat, refusing to continue fighting after Kisara breaks her staff, considering the broken weapon a sign of her defeat, and she acknowledges Kisara’s strength. Despite being a formidable fighter who often disregards her gender, Freya has a fear of mice. She reacts to this fear with very girlish behavior, such as jumping into Thor’s arms to escape, which he finds amusing. She can also appear somewhat naive, such as when she performed a seductive pose for Kensei to learn a technique Kenichi used in battle, though this may simply reflect her willingness to go to great lengths to win. Recently, Freya has shown a friendlier, big-sister-like side toward Kisara. Miu noted that Freya has a crush on Ukita, though she appears shy about it. While she still cares deeply for Ukita, she has recently taken a liking to Takeda after going on a double date with him. James Shiba, Takeda’s master, believes they are a couple. Like Shigure, Freya lacks modesty, having stated she always sleeps topless and showing no issue with sleeping that way in a hotel with Kisara. As one of the original three Fists of Ragnarok, Freya is a highly skilled fighter. She has trained under her grandfather since childhood to inherit the Kugatachi Style and is skilled enough to train others into capable fighters.
