Summary
Takeda Ikki, an eighteen-year-old with a muscular frame, dark complexion, and silver hair, first appears in Battle 14. Standing at 176cm and weighing 61kg, he is widely regarded as one of the most attractive men in his school. He typically wears his school uniform with bandages wrapped around his wrists from training, often chewing on a blade of grass to appear cooler. Formerly a member of Ragnarok's Technique Trio alongside Ukita and Kouga, he now serves as a captain of the Shinpaku Alliance and acts as one of Kenichi’s primary rivals. He practices Boxing, specializing in the Katsujin Ken style, and identifies as a Sei. Personality-wise, Takeda is confident and maintains a lighthearted attitude, frequently joking even in serious situations. He holds extreme respect for his master, James Shiba, as well as the Masters of Ryozanpaku. His background involves a past as a successful boxer who had a best friend who always watched his back. However, after Takeda suffered a severe injury to his left arm that left it paralyzed while defending his friend from delinquents, his friend abandoned him to pursue fame. This betrayal caused Takeda to lose his passion for fighting and descend into delinquency. He eventually joined Ragnarok, where he met Ukita, who became his new best friend. After Akisame healed his arm, Takeda shed his delinquent persona and regained his sportsman spirit, returning to boxing. He became more friendly and lighthearted after leaving Ragnarok, demonstrating his protective nature when he entered the ring to challenge Member J of the Black Force team for disrespecting Mizunuma. Takeda’s grasp of English is poor, as evidenced when he told an enemy during the D of D tournament, "I AM WIN! YOU SAY SORRY! OK?", demanding an apology if he were to win. Because he and Ukita were delinquents during their final year of high school, they were forced to repeat a year.
