Daimonji

Summary

Daimonji first appears in Chapter 2 as a member of the Karate club where Kenichi began his journey. Although he leverages immense physical strength built through rigorous training since middle school, he lacks a distinct fighting style of his own. He frequently bullies Kenichi within the club and eventually challenges him to a match, offering Kenichi a place in the team if he can defeat Daimonji. After Miu teaches Kenichi a new technique and he trains at the Ryōzanpaku Dojo, Kenichi emerges victorious. Despite losing, Daimonji remains in the Karate club while Kenichi departs. Humiliated by the defeat, Daimonji seeks revenge by destroying Kenichi’s plants in the Greenhouse and challenging him to another fight, which he loses once more. During the YOMI invasion arc, he becomes the punching bag for the club under the control of YOMI member Tirawit Kokin. Once Tirawit determines that Daimonji is too weak to be useful, he is employed as bait to lure Kenichi into a trap. When the duel between Kenichi and Tirawit commences, Daimonji initially flees the scene. However, after tripping over Kenichi’s watering pail, he realizes he must return to support Kenichi. In a moment of desperation, he summons the Shinpaku alliance, inadvertently helping to buy time for Akisame to revive Kenichi. Recognizing Daimonji’s bravery in aiding their disciple despite the risks, Akisame thanks him on behalf of Ryouzanpaku.
