Summary
Kugenin Hibiki, known by the alias Siegfried, first appeared in Battle 48. A twenty-year-old Sei practitioner standing 177cm tall and weighing 69kg, he utilizes the Katsujin Ken style and specializes in the Go no Sen martial arts approach. Formerly the Fifth Fist of Ragnarok, he currently serves as a leading captain of the Shinpaku Alliance. He holds the title of "The Immortal Composer" because he draws inspiration for his melodies from his battles. Siegfried is a tall young man with waist-length grey-purple hair, featuring front locks that reach his shoulders. His attire consists of a dark red coat, matching hat adorned with a feather, and dark boots and pants. During combat, he frequently hums or sings classical music and names his attacks after various musical compositions. He exhibits intense loyalty to anything connected to music and becomes enraged when interrupted. His musical talent, which includes proficiency with the piano, violin, tambourine, and bassoon, earned him a scholarship to a prestigious music school. He is even consulted for advice regarding the bassoon. This devotion to music drove his defection from Ragnarok to the Shinpaku Alliance. Before joining, he expressed respect for Niijima and a desire to hear the melody the latter had "composed." He later comically sang about sitting by the sea, mourning the limits of his music until Niijima-sama played a flute-accordion, which convinced him to join Shinpaku because he had heard a beautiful melody. His obsession extends to reconnaissance missions, such as during a camping trip where he struggled to write music until he heard Tochumaru and his animal friends playing nearby. Siegfried demonstrates extreme loyalty, often going to great lengths for his "Dear Demon King," Niijima. He swam across a river with three broken ribs to support Shinpaku in their final battle against Ragnarok, was willing to sacrifice himself while being strangled by Li Raichi, and searched nonstop for three days during the D of D tournament. Beyond his combat and musical prowess, Siegfried is revealed to be very wealthy, having funded the reconstruction and renovation of the Shinpaku Alliance headquarters. He also displays some aptitude as a magician, capable of pulling a bird from his hat, and claims to be an animal lover who owns twenty dogs and cats.
