Following the temporary retreat of the Altana Liberation Army from the Kabuki District, the conflict seemed to be calming down. However, as the Oniwaban, Shinsengumi, and local defenders fight the remaining enemies, Edo’s top inventor, Gengai Hiraga, is kidnapped. Since his nanomachine virus was key in disabling the enemy’s weapons, causing their withdrawal, there is a serious risk that the virus could be neutralized. At the same time, a planet-destroying laser is being prepared on the Liberation Army’s mother ship orbiting Earth. Shinsuke Takasugi and the Kiheitai board the ship to stop the weapon from activating, sparking another fierce battle. With the Yorozuya and their allies facing threats on multiple fronts, they must win both fights to protect Edo and the entire world.
