Summary
Zenzou Hattori is a highly skilled ninja characterized by his light-brown or dark-blonde mop top and goatee. Born on August 22, he stands 175 cm tall and weighs 59 kg. His name is loosely based on the famous Iga ninja Hattori Hanzou. He makes his first actual appearance in episode 37, where he and Gintoki engage in a death match over the last copy of the Christmas double issue Jump, which turns out to be the Christmas double issue Akamaru Jump. Although he debuted earlier as the assistant to the conman Dreamcatcher in episode 36, his introduction as a fighter marks him as the first ninja to rival Gintoki’s combat prowess and his obsessive devotion to Jump. Hattori is a former member of the Oniwabanshu and is acquainted with Ayame. He leads a freelance ninja group called the Shinobi 5. His father is renowned as the strongest man in the Oniwabanshu and served as an instructor for many peers, including Ayame Sarutobi. Additionally, it is noted that he suffers from hemorrhoids.
