Summary

Tama is a unique android who was discovered by Gintoki in the form of a disembodied head. Kagura, who was fixated on eating egg on rice at the time, gave her this name. She currently serves as a maid at Otose’s Snack House. When she is not busy cleaning or serving customers, she frequently visits the Yorozuya Gin-Chan to collect rent. Originally created by Professor Hayashi to be a companion for his sickly daughter, Tama’s origin is tragic. The professor attempted to implant his daughter’s personality into the android, but the experiment resulted in the girl’s death. However, Tama possesses a component called the "Seed," which allows her to retain fragments of Fuyou’s personality and experience human emotions. Despite her mechanical nature, Tama is capable of feeling emotions, though her interactions with living humans are often hindered by a lack of knowledge about the outside world. This gap stems from memory loss she suffered prior to her introduction. As the story progresses, she gradually learns more through her time with the Yorozuya Gin-Chan. She also possesses peculiar main functions, such as the ability to imitate the Dragon Quest RPG.
