Gintama: Yorinuki Gintama-san on Theater 2D

Synopsis

In "Gintama: Yorinuki Gintama-san on Theater 2D," Toushirou Hijikata, the strict vice-commander of the Shinsengumi, comes into possession of a cursed blade that dramatically alters his personality, transforming him into a devoted otaku. While he attempts to break the curse, a fresh recruit named Itou Kamotarou takes advantage of Hijikata's weakened state to further his own goals within the Shinsengumi, seeking to take over Hijikata's position. However, Itou's real motives are far more sinister, posing a threat to the entire Shinsengumi's survival. At the same time, the Yorozuya group meets a potential new member in the form of a mysterious young woman named Pirako Doromizu. Although she appears cheerful and energetic, she hides a violent disposition. Without Gintoki and his friends knowing, Pirako has connections to a major figure in Edo's Kabuki district, and her arrival triggers a series of events that lead to a civil war among the area's inhabitants.
