Synopsis
Train Heartnet, a cold-blooded assassin known in the underworld as "Black Cat," carries out his assignments with flawless precision while working for Chronos, a shadowy and powerful organization. One evening, this emotionally detached killer crosses paths with Saya Minatsuki, a lively bounty hunter with a sunny disposition. Their unlikely friendship inspires Train to reconsider his way of life, prompting him to shed his Black Cat identity and pursue a path as an honorable bounty hunter. But Chronos, especially Creed Diskenth—a subordinate consumed by an almost obsessive devotion to Train—refuses to accept this change. Creed is determined to use any means necessary to reclaim the organization's prized agent. As a free agent, Train's newfound freedom proves brief, as the looming threat of Chronos's pursuit draws ever nearer.
