Summary
Born on January 4, Kranz Maduke is a twenty-six-year-old assassin standing 190 cm tall and weighing 102 kg with AB blood type. Raised from birth to serve as a killer for Chronos, he shares the extreme violence of his comrade Baldor. Years ago, a battle cost him his sight, forcing him to wear a helmet that hides his eyes. Believing his sole purpose is to fight, Kranz has mastered combat techniques relying on sound and movement detection. His weapon of choice is a knife named Mars, which features a switch that vibrates the blade to make it extremely sharp. After Kyoko leaves the Apostles Of The Stars, Kranz and Baldorias are dispatched to capture her. This mission leads to clashes with Train, who is in his Lucifer-changed child form, and later with Sven, who declares they will not allow the Numbers to harm her. When Jenos arrives to halt the conflict and announce the cancellation of the mission, Baldorias reacts with hostility and even attacks Jenos. In the manga adaptation, these events unfold between chapters 98 and 99 of volume 11. The anime portrayal differs significantly, showing Kranz only briefly during the preparations for and execution of the attack on Clarken Island. The storyline involving Train’s transformation and the pursuit of Kyoko by the Chrono Numbers is absent. Following Creed’s defeat at Clarken Island, Kranz appears among the Zero Numbers Mason, joining Baldorias and Emilio.
