Annette Pierce serves as an information broker and a former sweeper, maintaining mysterious old ties with Sven. She runs the Cait-Sith Cafe, which occasionally hosts Train and his companions. The establishment’s name is a mythological reference. In the manga, Durham assaults her while searching for Train for a duel, only to find him absent. The anime adaptation follows this storyline almost identically, with the sole difference being that Durham never encounters Annette in this version.
