Summary
Silphy Deacroft is a member of the Sweeper Alliance, specializing in close-quarters combat. In the manga narrative, she engages in a duel against Deek Slasky. He overpowers her by using an attack that progressively freezes her body until she is encased entirely in ice. Just as the frost reaches her arm, Sven intervenes to fight Deek, damaging him sufficiently to weaken his Chi and break the freezing spell, thereby rescuing Silphy. The anime adaptation follows this sequence closely, with one key difference: since Deek Slasky does not appear in the anime version, Silphy is attacked by Preta instead. Sven still steps in to battle Preta and save her from the same fate.
