Summary
Durham is renowned as the greatest gunman in history, capable of channeling Chi through his cherished revolver to unleash destructive energy balls without needing traditional ammunition. His mask conceals a secondary weapon for emergencies. Driven by a desire to prove that Train is not the legendary figure he claims to be, Durham sets out to confront him. He tracks down Annette, defeats her, and accesses her computer to locate Train’s hideout. There, he encounters Eve and overpowers her before using her blood to write a challenge on the wall, inviting Train to a gun duel in a nearby forest. Durham is ultimately killed by Creed for his arrogant insolence in challenging Train. His Tao Power is known as Shot, and his death prompts Charden and Kyoko to leave the Apostles of The Stars. In the anime adaptation, Durham’s journey to face Train does not involve torturing Annette or Eve, rendering him a more sympathetic character compared to his manga counterpart.
