Summary
Sephiria Arks, known as Number I, wields 'Christ,' a razor-sharp sabre forged from Orichalcum that possesses incredible strength. Despite her youthful appearance and gentle demeanor, her swordsmanship is characterized by extreme speed and precision, allowing her to strike without making a sound. She can move so rapidly that she creates after-images to disorient her opponents. Though young, she is highly charismatic and genuinely values life. It is said that she can perceive a person’s soul, enabling her to accurately guess their true feelings. This ability often leads her to manipulate others, including Train Heartnet, driven by ambition rather than malice. She despises seeing anyone sacrificed, whether friend or foe, and would have detonated an explosive bracelet to destroy Creed Diskenth if Train had not intervened. In the final volume of the manga, she reveals that her body has an enhanced recovery rate because she was "born to live for Chronos" and would not die easily. As a master swordsman, she knows all thirty-six moves of her style, culminating in 'Apocalypse,' a technique that reduces a target to nothing. In the anime adaptation, Sephiria harbors significant animosity toward Train for leaving Chronos and displays a more aggressive personality than her manga counterpart. Her appearance is depicted as even younger, placing her closer to Train’s age. Her manipulative nature is downplayed, making her more forthright than sneaky. She chooses to assist Train in fighting Eden to rescue Eve after he affronts her pride, demonstrating her superior combat skills during these encounters. By the end of the series, she departs to rebuild Chronos from scratch.
