Overjoyed, the girls from Asahigaoka Branch School prepare for their trip in various ways, from studying how to board an airplane to stocking up on necessities at the convenience store, all so they can enjoy their stay in Okinawa to the maximum. For Renge Miyauchi, stepping away from the familiar landscape of Asahigaoka is a new experience that makes her think about how her outlook on life might change. As the departure date approaches, a promise is made among them.

In the story, Sakura Mizukami approaches the Kazama household seeking assistance, which pulls Kenji Kazama and his sister Noe into a shrine footrace. Doraemon explains that Sewashi forced him to assist Nobita in hopes of improving his life. Initially disappointed by Nobita's situation, Doraemon attempts to return home but is prevented when Sewashi activates a built-in program to keep him in the past. Tasked with improving Nobita's life and ensuring his happiness, Doraemon uses futuristic gadgets from his four-dimensional pocket. The story unfolds as they work to change Nobita's future, allowing Doraemon to eventually return to his own time.

High school student Saburou does not pay much attention to Japanese history, considering it irrelevant to his own life. His world is turned upside down when he suddenly finds himself transported to the Sengoku period, landing directly in front of the famous warlord Nobunaga Oda. Exhausted and hiding from his own followers, the weakened Nobunaga begs Saburou to take his place, citing their striking resemblance. Though initially confused, Saburou is given the symbols of authority to prove his identity as the real daimyo before Nobunaga disappears. Now tasked with playing a historical figure he barely understands, Saburou must use his modern perspective and insight to navigate the challenges of unifying Japan.
