Synopsis

Continues the story of Sword Art Online: Extra Edition

After the Sword Art Online incident, Kirito and his sister Suguha meet up with Asuna, Rika "Lisbeth" Shinozaki, and Keiko "Silica" Ayano at the SAO Survivor School. Kirito leaves for what he says is emergency counseling, while the girls decide to go swimming at the school pool. But Kirito's "counseling" is actually a trick set up by Seijirou Kikuoka to investigate the Sword Art Online event and find out what Akihiko Kayaba was thinking. Meanwhile, the girls have their own fun at the pool. What secrets will Kirito find out during his session, and what fun will the girls have at the pool?

A year after escaping Sword Art Online, Kazuto Kirigaya finds his attempt at a normal life disrupted by a series of murders linked to Gun Gale Online. The culprit is rumored to be a player named Death Gun, who allegedly kills real-world victims through the game. Tasked by authorities with the investigation, Kazuto dons his Kirito persona and enters Gun Gale Online to seek justice. There, he encounters Sinon, a talented sniper burdened by a traumatic past. As they team up to hunt Death Gun, Sinon joins Kirito's probe. Both compete in the Bullet of Bullets tournament, where the killer is expected to show up. With Death Gun's true capabilities a mystery, Kirito and Sinon race against time to prevent further fatalities, though their personal traumas threaten to hinder their mission. In this perilous virtual arena where they may become targets themselves, Kirito confronts another life-threatening ordeal.
