Synopsis
Continues the story of Sword Art Online
Following the debut of the revolutionary NerveGear device, gamers around the globe gained the power to fully immerse themselves in virtual reality. Among its most celebrated titles is Sword Art Online (SAO), which transports players to the vast, medieval realm of Aincrad, offering limitless possibilities bounded only by one's imagination. With the game's worldwide launch, virtual reality gaming achieved unprecedented realism. This ideal fantasy swiftly descends into a terrifying nightmare when SAO's creator imprisons thousands of players within the game. The logout function has been disabled, and the sole path to escape requires clearing all one hundred increasingly perilous floors of Aincrad. To make matters worse, dying in the game results in death in the real world. Kazuto "Kirito" Kirigaya, a former beta tester, soon realizes that even his prior experience is not enough to face SAO alone. Joining forces with Asuna Yuuki and other skilled players, he endeavors to conquer the seemingly insurmountable challenges ahead. However, with formidable bosses and malevolent dark cults blocking their path, Kirito discovers that overcoming these obstacles is far more difficult than he anticipated.
In this installment
After the Sword Art Online incident, Kirito and his sister Suguha meet up with Asuna, Rika "Lisbeth" Shinozaki, and Keiko "Silica" Ayano at the SAO Survivor School. Kirito leaves for what he says is emergency counseling, while the girls decide to go swimming at the school pool. But Kirito's "counseling" is actually a trick set up by Seijirou Kikuoka to investigate the Sword Art Online event and find out what Akihiko Kayaba was thinking. Meanwhile, the girls have their own fun at the pool. What secrets will Kirito find out during his session, and what fun will the girls have at the pool?
