In Hamatora The Animation, certain individuals known as "Minimum Holders" are granted a special power called "Minimum," which allows them to perform extraordinary feats. The narrative centers on Nice and Murasaki, a pair of Minimum Holder private investigators who operate from a single table at Cafe Nowhere under the name Yokohama Troubleshooting. Together with their associates, they take on various cases that come their way. While investigating, the duo discovers a troubling link between their cases and a series of murders being looked into by their friend Art, a police officer. Each victim turns out to be a Minimum Holder. As Minimum Holders themselves, Nice and Murasaki become deeply entangled in this mystery. However, a deeper, personal connection between Nice and the person behind these crimes gradually comes to light.

Three months after the events in Yokohama, the atmosphere at Cafe Nowhere has finally begun to calm. Murasaki and Hajime reunite to resume their detective work. An unforeseen encounter results in Art aiming a gun at Nice. What is the reason behind Art’s behavior? How will this impact the bond between Art and Hamatora?
