Synopsis

Tokimune Susumu possesses ample justification for distrusting the military and questioning its directives. After his sister perished while serving the Arandas military, his clandestine motivation for enlisting is to uncover the truth behind her enigmatic death. Thus, when a civilian convoy faces peril and his own battle mech is annihilated, Susumu readily breaks ranks to pilot the experimental Argevollen. However, he fails to anticipate that activating the Argevollen binds the machine exclusively to his mind. Now positioned at the forefront of the brutal meat-grinder war between Arandas and Ingelmia, his sole reliable ally is an attractive civilian contractor whose reasons for involvement in the conflict are as convoluted as his own.
