Synopsis
In "Stand By Me Doraemon," Nobita Nobi is an elementary school student who struggles academically, lacks athletic ability, and avoids putting in effort, leading to frequent bullying and misfortune that sets a bleak future for him and his descendants. To change this outcome, his great-great-grandson, Sewashi, travels from the 22nd century to the 20th century, appearing from Nobita's desk drawer alongside a blue robotic cat named Doraemon. Doraemon explains that Sewashi forced him to assist Nobita in hopes of improving his life. Initially disappointed by Nobita's situation, Doraemon attempts to return home but is prevented when Sewashi activates a built-in program to keep him in the past. Tasked with improving Nobita's life and ensuring his happiness, Doraemon uses futuristic gadgets from his four-dimensional pocket. The story unfolds as they work to change Nobita's future, allowing Doraemon to eventually return to his own time.
