Summary

Takeshi Goda, widely recognized by the nickname Gian, which derives from the English word for giant, is portrayed as a large, physically imposing, and short-tempered bully within his community. He possesses immense confidence in his singing abilities, despite the fact that his voice is notoriously poor. He frequently forces neighborhood children to endure his terrible singing recitals, which are often paired with his equally dreadful homemade meals and his notoriously bad fashion sense. Gian is also known for taking other children’s toys and books under the guise of borrowing them, provided they are not damaged. This behavior has led many fans to view him as the primary antagonist of the series. Nevertheless, he does not hesitate to assist Nobita and his friends when they face genuine danger, a trait that is particularly prominent in the movie adaptations. Numerous storylines focus on Nobita and his friends’ attempts to evade Gian’s concerts. Other chapters detail their efforts to avoid attending Gian’s birthday parties due to his selfish nature. Following a specific incident regarding his birthday, Gian questions why he lacks popularity among his peers.
