Synopsis

In "Samurai Jam -Bakumatsu Rock-", Ryouma Sakamoto is passionate about sharing his love for rock 'n' roll and travels through the city with his electric guitar, determined to prove that he is as skilled as the revered Shinsengumi musicians. However, in this version of Japan, only the Shinsengumi's Heaven's Songs are permitted; creating or playing any other music is strictly forbidden and carries harsh penalties. Feeling confined by these oppressive rules and the indoctrination they enforce, Ryouma aims to demonstrate that the music he loves can provide true freedom. Together with his bandmates Shinsaku Takasugi and Kogoru Katsura, he relentlessly seeks out places where they can perform their rock music. Undeterred until their songs gain widespread acceptance across Japan, the three discover that their musical passion holds a deeper significance than they initially realized.
