Her older brother, Kamiomi, is a teacher at the school she is supposed to attend. To help with her possible return to society, Sasami uses a "Brother Surveillance Tool," a program that lets her observe the outside world, focusing on her brother's dealings with the unusual Yagami sisters. These sisters, whose ages appear reversed, each have a distinct obsession with Kamiomi. As the story progresses, the plot takes a strange turn involving magical abilities and even the world turning into chocolate. The narrative questions whether Sasami's view is warped by her seclusion or if reality itself is coming apart.

Kai reveals that although he previously disliked the town, Yamato has helped him recognize its charm. Encouraged, Yamato acknowledges that meeting Mei made him realize how deeply lonely he truly felt. Later, Kai encounters Megumi at the bus stop, commending her for remaining authentic to herself despite her modeling career. However, Megumi responds sharply, leaving Kai hurt. When Momo appears, Megumi feels regret over her words and blushes as Momo hints at her feelings for Kai. Back at Mei's, the freshly baked cookies turn out delicious. Mei's mother sends Mei and Yamato outside, and Yamato thanks Mei for being there for him. The two watch the sunset together, hand in hand, as they take a stroll.
