Synopsis

Fifteen years into the war between humans and demons, the Hero grows weary of the Demon Realm's slow, methodical advances. Abandoning his companions, he charges alone to the Demon Queen's castle. Upon arrival, he is stunned to find her breathtakingly beautiful, and she immediately proposes an alliance. Confused, the Hero refuses, arguing that the conflict is devastating the Southern Nations. The Demon Queen counters by claiming the war has actually unified humanity and driven economic growth, supporting her case with hard data. She adds that ending the war would cut off aid from the Central Nations, likely triggering a famine that would kill hundreds of thousands. Yet she reveals she has a plan to both conclude the war and bring hope to the Southern Nations and beyond, though she needs the Hero's cooperation to carry it out. Convinced by her logic, the Hero agrees to work with his former enemy. Vowing to stand by her through any hardship, they set out together toward the human world.
