Summary
Two young sisters from a serf family of seven siblings found refuge at the Crimson Scholar's estate after their other siblings perished from hunger and disease. Escaping the harsh serfdom where their lord treated them like slaves, they hoped for a better life in the city. The Chief Maid looked down on them, viewing them as bugs who allowed life's harsh realities to control their fate rather than overcoming it to shape their own destinies. She also feared their presence would cause trouble with the Crimson Scholar. When they asked the Chief Maid to teach them how to become proper humans, they were accepted into her guard as assistant maids. Through this education, Big Sister Maid gained knowledge of different social classes and lives within human society, while Little Sister Maid became an expert in food and drinks. Contrary to the beliefs of the Hero and others, the sisters remain unaware of the Crimson Scholar's secret.
