Synopsis
In the past, Japan utilized Onmyoudou magic to bolster its military strength during World War II in an attempt to secure global dominance. This ambition was cut short when the legendary onmyouji Yakou Tsuchimikado triggered the "Great Spiritual Disaster," an event whose repercussions continue to plague Tokyo today. In the aftermath, the Onmyou Agency was founded to battle the ensuing spiritual calamities and the demons that breach into the human world. Fast forward to the present, where Onmyoudou has evolved into a refined and versatile discipline applied across various sectors, including healthcare and technology. However, the capacity to wield this magic remains exclusive to certain individuals, such as Harutora, a member of the Tsuchimikado clan's secondary branch. Although he is sworn to protect Natsume, the heir to the main Tsuchimikado lineage and the rumored reincarnation of Yakou, Harutora, who possesses no magical talent, decides to pursue a normal life instead. His plans are upended when a high-ranking official from the Onmyou Agency attempts to recreate the experiment responsible for Japan's historical defeat. This development forces Harutora to honor his vow and join forces with Natsume to confront the looming threat.
