Synopsis

In everyone's life, a phase arrives where one feels truly unique, perhaps imagining supernatural powers or claiming origins from another realm. This condition, known as "chunibyou," often results in some of the most awkward memories. Yuuta Togashi still bears the scars of his chunibyou days when he styled himself as the "Dark Flame Master" during junior high. To flee those memories, he chose a high school far away where no one would remember his past. He longs for a standard high school life, completely free from such eccentricities. Yet, his hopes are tested by Rikka Takanashi, a fellow student who declares herself the wielder of the "Wicked Eye." Her presence shatters his dream of a mundane existence, and as Yuuta struggles with his lingering delusions, a funny and touching story emerges of a young man attempting to move past his embarrassing history.

In "Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!: Sparkling... Slapstick Noel," Yuuta Togashi and Rikka Takanashi are now a couple, but their shyness keeps them from moving their relationship forward. Seeking guidance, Rikka turns to her class representative, Shinka Nibutani, who suggests they strengthen their connection during the Christmas season. Acting on a hint from Yuuta’s friend, Makoto Isshiki, they organize a Christmas party at Sanae Dekomori’s home. At the party, Yuuta notices Rikka is missing and goes to look for her. He finds that both Rikka and Sanae have drunk alcohol and are behaving oddly. How will this surprising development impact Yuuta and Rikka’s growing relationship?
