Synopsis

A CG anime produced to commemorate the series' 25th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of its creator. Since the dawn of time, warriors have existed to protect the goddess Athena. Whenever evil forces emerge, these warriors—known as Saints—appear to defend the world. A young woman named Saori Kido learns about the mysterious power called "Cosmos" and discovers that she is the reincarnation of Athena, the goddess who safeguards love and peace on Earth. However, the Pope—the leader of all Saints at the Sanctuary—does not accept Saori and views her claim to Athena's identity as a usurpation. He dispatches an assassin to eliminate her. Fortunately, Seiya, one of the Bronze Saints, steps in to protect her. But can Seiya keep Saori safe until the very end in the gripping saga of Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary?
