Phoenix, Ikki

Summary

Ikki holds the title of Bronze Saint, yet his fundamental power level far exceeds that of most Silver Saints, a reputation for immense strength that is widely known among his peers. In his youth, he was recognized as the toughest among the hundred orphans, frequently protecting his fragile younger brother, Andromeda Shun, from other children. This early history solidified his standing as the strongest Bronze Saint in terms of raw power. His demeanor stands in stark contrast to his fellow Bronze Saints, particularly Shun, who is calm, soft, and emotional, while Ikki is harsh, cold, aggressive, and solitary. Wolf Nachi once remarked that the extreme personality differences made it difficult to believe Ikki and Shun were related. According to Kanon during the Poseidon arc and Pandora in the Hades chapter, Ikki’s cosmos is unique, radiating hate, anger, and immense aggression, yet it is ultimately guided by his love for Shun, his friends, and Athena. Despite his preference for solitude, he intervenes whenever Athena’s Saints require aid, often arriving just in time to rescue Shun from death. This last-minute rescue tactic frequently catches enemies off guard. Ikki is a mature and noble figure who does not hesitate to sacrifice his life for his comrades, making him a character defined by complex nuances.
