Summary

Aldebaran, the Gold Saint of Taurus, hails from Brazil and serves under Athena. Standing at 210 cm with a weight of 130 kg, he possesses the Taurus Cloth and is known for his signature attack, the Great Horn. Born on May 8 with blood type B, he was physically the strongest of the modern Gold Saints. Despite his formidable reputation, Aldebaran is depicted as a friendly and less serious individual during times of peace, sharing a close friendship with Aries Mu. His bond with Pegasus Seiya was solidified during the Hades Saga, where Aldebaran sacrificed himself alongside the other eleven Gold Saints to destroy the Wailing Wall. In a flashback from the anime adaptation, he is shown awkwardly accepting a flower gift from a young girl while Aiolia, Mu, and other girls from the Sanctuary watch. Although he initially followed the Pope's orders, Aldebaran grew suspicious of the Pope's integrity. He allowed the Bronze Saints to pass during their invasion of the Sanctuary, a decision Mu later explained was intentional; Aldebaran could have killed them with his true power but chose to let them pass, believing that if they fought so hard, their convictions could not be entirely wrong.
