Andromeda, Shun

Summary

Shun, the Bronze Saint of the Andromeda constellation, is a thirteen-year-old Japanese male born on September 9 who serves under Athena. He stands out as the most reluctant of the Bronze Saints, possessing a merciful nature and a strong conviction that conflicts should be resolved without bloodshed. This pacifist demeanor contrasts sharply with his comrades, who readily engage in combat when necessary; Shun fights only when absolutely unavoidable or when his patience finally runs out. Once provoked, however, he transforms into an extremely vicious warrior. His performance varies significantly across different storylines. In the Movies and the Asgard arc, Shun struggles considerably, often losing battles and requiring rescue from his brother Ikki, with the sole exception of his victory over Mizar Zeta Syd. Conversely, he shines in the Sanctuary, Poseidon, and Hades storylines. During the Sanctuary arc, he holds his own against Gemini Saga and kills Gold Saint Pisces Aphrodite. In the Poseidon arc, he defeats Scylla’s Southern Pacific Mariner General Io and Siren’s Southern Atlantic Mariner General Sorrento. In the Hades arc, he successfully dispatches various opponents, proving that despite his reluctance, he is just as powerful and skilled as other main Bronze Saints like Shiryu and Hyoga.
