Summary

Hyouga, the Cygnus Saint, is born on January 23 and presents himself as a calm, collected, and unemotional figure, though he harbors deep passion and devotion to his ideals beneath the surface. His mind is permanently occupied by the memory of his deceased mother, who drowned during a shipwreck when he was young. Because the ship sank into icy waters that prevented rigor mortis, Hyouga visits her by diving into the ocean during the Sanctuary arc. As a Saint born under the Cygnus constellation, he controls ice and snow, and is implied to be the first to wear the Cygnus Cloth in 10,000 years after retrieving it from an iceberg. His signature technique is Diamond Dust, a concentrated blast of ice and snow that he also uses to create reflective mirrors or target opponents' legs. Before mastering Aurora Execution, his most powerful move was Holodnyj Smerč, a technique that compresses his Cosmo into a tornado unleashed via an uppercut. This attack, which functions as a more potent variation of Diamond Dust, involves clasping his hands together to expel snow and ice at his foe.
