Synopsis
In "Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Stellar War Part 2," Marquis Reinhard von Lohengramm's plan to destabilize the Free Planets Alliance succeeds when the traitorous former Rear Admiral Arthur Lynch launches a coup on Heinessen. Using a scheme provided by Reinhard, Lynch persuades his former colleague, Admiral Dwight Greenhill, to lead the National Salvation Military Council in overthrowing the democratic government. To defend the Alliance's constitution and uphold democracy, Admiral Yang Wen-li is forced to battle against his own compatriots, including the father of his trusted aide, Lieutenant Frederica Greenhill. While the Free Planets Alliance deals with its internal conflict, the Galactic Empire's military moves to crush the recently formed Lippstadt League, led by Duke Otto von Braunschweig. At the same time, Reinhard, whose close ally and dependable subordinate High Admiral Siegfried Kircheis is stationed in distant territories controlled by nobles, becomes more reliant on the advice of the formidable Vice Admiral Paul von Oberstein. Oberstein's influence within the esteemed Lohengramm admiralty steadily grows. As widespread violence erupts across the galaxy, both Yang Wen-li from the Alliance and Reinhard von Lohengramm from the Empire ponder the same questions: how will future generations view their actions? Is the outcome worth the cost?
