He believes that if he had been born earlier, during the era of the "inferior genes exclusion law," he would have been discarded as a threat to the species. Consequently, recognizing Reinhard’s abilities, he seeks to join his camp. A genius in both strategy and organization for war and politics, Oberstein remains calm and composed.
