Synopsis

Continues the story of Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Stellar War Part 3

Admiral Yang Wen-li orders defected intelligence officer Commander Baghdash to broadcast a critical statement accusing the Galactic Empire of involvement in the National Salvation Military Council's coup, despite a lack of concrete evidence. This forces former Rear Admiral Andrew Lynch to admit his role in stirring unrest within the Free Planets Alliance. The confrontation ends in a deadly shootout between Lynch and Admiral Dwight Greenhill, sealing the fate of the short-lived military dictatorship. In the Galactic Empire, the video of Duke Otto von Braunschweig's nuclear attack on Westerland leads to the collapse of the Lippstadt League. Marquis Reinhard von Lohengramm's decision to overlook the atrocity for personal gain strains his relationship with High Admiral Siegfried Kircheis, casting a shadow over their impending victory. As Reinhard nears absolute power, he struggles with personal flaws and the heavy burden of leadership. Though civil unrest subsides in both the Alliance and the Empire, neither can recover what they have lost. Yang Wen-li and Reinhard von Lohengramm each find bittersweet comfort in knowing that beyond the stars, there exists a formidable and genuine adversary.

In this installment

Yang is called to the Free Planet Alliance, where he sees deeply troubling corruption. At the same time, Marshal Reinhardt discovers disloyalty within his own ranks as an ambitious admiral starts a savage attack to recapture the Iserlohn Fortress. While both sides fight to hold their ground in this unyielding and bloody conflict, they start to realize that their true struggle comes not from external foes, but from enemies within.
