Summary

Born on November 23rd, 769 UC, Dusty Attenborough is a 28-year-old military officer who serves the Free Planets Alliance. He begins his story as a Commander and advisor stationed on the flagship Patoroklos of the 2nd Fleet, eventually rising to the rank of Commodore and Squadron Commander, with later service aboard the battleship Triglav of the 13th Fleet. A native of the United States of America, his appearance is characterized by blue-black hair, although he is depicted with blond hair in the OAV Golden Wings. Dusty’s journey into the military began at the academy, where he formed a lasting friendship with Yang Wen-Li in 785 UC. This bond proved instrumental in his development, as he absorbed much tactical knowledge from his friend, evolving into a capable leader. His distinguished career saw him serve as First Lieutenant during the 5th Battle of Iserlohn in 792 UC. He later commanded the destroyer Elm 3 during the 6th Battle of Iserlohn in 794 UC after being promoted to Commander. By 795 UC, he had taken on the role of gunnery officer on the Patoroklos. Beyond his tactical duties, Dusty is known for his sharp wit, notably coining the phrase "foppery and whim" with Olivier Poplan to describe the Yang Fleet’s motivations against overwhelming odds. He first appeared in the movie My Conquest is the Sea of Stars and later in Book 2 of the novels, Ambition.
